The Mahindra XUV 500 price is expected to be between Rs 12 lakh and 20 lakh. The Mahindra XUV 500 specifications reveal that the car will be powered by a powerful 2.2 litres diesel engine which will generate the power of 140 BPS and a maximum torque of 32.6 kg. The Mahindra XUV 500 price for the base version is expected to be around Rs 12 lakh. The price of all the variants is expected to be between 12 lakh and 20 lakh. The president of automotive and farm equipment sector of Mahindra and Mahindra Mr. Pawan Goenka has reported that Mahindra XUV 500 is the home grown product of Mahindra and Mahindra at their Chennai research center.

As per the Mahindra XUV 500 specifications, the XUV500 consists of a 2.2 litres mHawk diesel engine which will generate the power of 140 BPS and a maximum torque of 32.6 kg. The 2.2 litres engine of XUV 500 is specially developed for the car. The cable operated gearbox installed in the car has both five speed and six speed options. Besides these features, the XUV 500 also consists of traction control and hill descent control. Furthermore, the XUV 500 will be 7 seater car having a powerful diesel engine. The steering of the car will be tilted and the brakes will be front disk and rear disk.

The XUV 500 will also consist of alloy wheels, tachometer, 2 trip meters, ORVM indicators. The security system will include six airbags, parking sensors, fog lamps, traction control, EBD, ABS, ESP, and 3 rear seat belts. The main competitors of Mahindra XUV 500 are Toyota Fortuner, Honda CRV, Skoda Yeti, and Tata Aria. Mahindra XUV 500 will be launched in India and South Africa but Mahindra and Mahindra has also planned to launch the car in other car markets too.
